Howard Thomas Millikin, 81 of Laurinburg, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Friday, July14, 2017 at East Laurinburg Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Michael Richard Tyson.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Mr. Millikin was born October 14, 1935 in Laurel Hill to the late William Howard and Mary Elizabeth Sweat Carter Millikin in Masons Cross, NC.  He was the retired Owner-Operator of M&M House Movers and also moved cabins to the John Blue House.  A veteran of the Army National Guard, he loved nascar, fishing, wrestling, boxing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Millikin; a son Timmy Millikin of Laurel Hill; daughters, Carolyn Hewett (Kirt) of Laurel Hill, Kimberly Grice (Steve) of Goldsboro and Sherry Jacobs (Garland) of Cheraw, SC; brother, Tommy Milliken of Laurel Hill; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Waye Millikin; brothers, Bruce Carter, Clarence Carter, Willie Carter, Bobby Millikin; sisters, Rosa Mae McKenzie, Joyce Millikin, Dixie Brigman, Myrtle Gibson and Gladys Tyson.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at McDougald Funeral Home.
