Virginia, I'm so sorry for your loss and your entire family as well. I know Howard will be greatly missed. Howard was a kind person and I appreciate all the things he did with my children and yours like taking them swimming and watching them while they played after dark. You know how children love playing outside after dark especially in the summer when it cools off a little. I can still picture him in my mind sitting on the porch with lights on letting them play and laughing and joking around with them with that cup of coffee in his hand!! They would not have gotten to have done things like that if it had not been for Howard, my children's daddy could have cared less if they got to play or go swimming at all. He always had "other things" more important than them to him, as you well know. Howard knew how to be good to children and enjoyed seeing them have fun. I'm sure he taught them how to play outside games and too, as they got older and all went to Showtime, he never minded picking them up for me if Joyce and I wanted to go dancing on Saturday night's. I never worried that he would not pick them up if he told me he would. Those were the "good old days", I just hope he knew how much it meant that we all could depend on him. He was a good person and always had a great smile.

Mr. Millikin was a fine man. He brought his children to swim at Morgan's Pond along with any other children they could fit it. Sweet wife and good children. Prayers for the family.
